What is Botox?
Botox or botulinum toxin is formed by a bacteria known as Clostridium botulinum. It is a muscle-paralyzing chemical that though highly toxic and life-threatening, has been modified into a safe drug used for various neurological disorders including spasticity, migraine not responding to oral medications, and movement disorders. It’s administered by a neurologist on OPD and takes around 30 min to be injected into desired muscles.
